performances, student workshops, and lectures at major Universities for the
past 15 years. Their unique, realistic approach to teaching has afforded them
the opportunity to clinic at some of the top Universities in the world. Their
unique was of presenting jazz, America's greatest contribution to the arts, to
kingergarten through through High School children has brought them to schools
throughout the world, from the North of Sweden to the middle of the United States.

Frank
Frank Vignola has performed hundreds of Master classes, Clinics and residencies throughout the United States at Colleges, Universities, High Schools, Middle Schools and Elementary Schools. Mr. Vignola developed and taught a course titled, “Beginning Improvisation for Classical Musicians” at Boston University. He was brought to Arizona State University on a grant to set up and develop there now prestigious guitar department which is now sponsored by Fender Musical Corporation.

Joe
Joe Ascione has performed hundreds of master classes, clinics, workshops throughout the USA and abroad. Mr. Ascione has been on the faculty at The New School for Jazz for the past seven years sharing musical experiences and working with drummers from all around the world.
Topics covered are as follows:
- Sticking technique
- Coordination and independence
- Brush playing
- Drum Set soloing and phrasing
- Rhythm section development
- Private/group/master class/clinic level programs.
- Drums and percussion development
- Polyrhythmic and odd meter studies
- Third world rhythms.

We offer a veriety of educational services. We specialize in tailoring a program
to meet the needs of your particular situation. A general overview of what we offer
is as follows:
Improvisation Workshop from beginner to advanced
Frank and Joe cover subjects like; how to learn a song, concentrating on the
groove, theoretical information, rhythm section playing, ear training exercises,
the importance of playing in front of the public (on the bandstand training), how
to keep your composure in pressure playing situations, etc. They encourage students
to "sit in" with them and "jam" during their workshop and gently critique them in a
positive way. the invaluable experience of being abl to play with seasoned pro's is
something that all music students need and Frank and Joe are masters at making that
happen.
Performance with Big Band or Orchestra
Frank and Joe can come to your school and perform a concert with the Big Band and
/or Orchestra. Their sharts are swinging, challenging, and full of energy. A great
experience for any student of Big Band.
This Business of Music Workshop
Frank and Joe discuss how to get gigs and how to set yourself up as a business
while stressing the importance of keeping your chops up at the same time.
Student ensembles perform for Joe and Frank
Student ensembles can play for Joe and Frank. They will gently critique the
performance and then Frank and Joe can play for the students and have the students
critique their performance.
Perform a general concert for all music students
Frank and Joe's trio can perform a concert for all music students. They play
everything from the Great American Popular Standards to Post Bop to jazz versions
of Classic Rock Standards.
Work with Classical Musicians who want to start improvising
Frank and Joe are experts at introducing the art of improvisation to well trained
classical musicians. They start with one-chord jams, introduce the Blues, and introduce a couple of simple improvising techniques. They also introduce a couple of
jazz standards that students can learn and play together in the future.
Work one on one with students
Have Frank and Joe spend a day working one on one with the students in a private
lesson format.

Frank and Joe also have a wonderful show that they present to Kindergarten through
High School children. While entertaining the kids with sing-along songs for the young ones and playing jazz versions of songs that the older children know, the educate the children on the history of jazz, America's greatest contribution to the
Arts. The have presented this program to schools all around the United States, Europe, and Scandinavia including "in residency" programs for the following organizations:
